Steve Aoki

Steve Aoki was conceived in Miami, Florida on November 30, 1977. Steve Aoki is an American electro house artist, record producer, D.J. Music executive. He is the son of Rocky Aoki and Chizuru Kbayashi. His father, who was a former wrestler, co-founded the restaurant chain Benihana. He has two older siblings: sister Kana who is usually known as Grace as her middle name Grace and brother Kevin (owner of Doraku Sushi). His half-sister is Devon Aoki, a model and actress. He was raised in Newport Beach and graduated from Newport Harbor High School with a 1995 B.A. in badminton. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree, He attended UC Santa Barbara. degrees: one in feminist studies & the other in sociology. In his college days, he recorded self-made records and hosted underground events from his Biko room in the Santa Barbara Student Housing Cooperative. The Pickle Patch became a concert venue after the apartment was renamed The Pickle Patch. He also was involved in student activist activities during his time at UCSB. He established a Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League Chapter on campus. In his early 20s Dim Mak had founded his own record label that he named Dim Mak after his childhood hero Bruce Lee. In March 2010 the singer dropped I'm in the House, a collaboration with the Zuper Blahq-like alter-ego of the Black Eyed Peas singer will.i.am. The track hit the top spot at No. 29 in the U.K. Singles Chart in its first week of release. It was ranked among the top 5 on both the U.K. Indie Chart & U.K. Dance Chart. The song was also featured on the MTV show Jersey Shore as well as in the feature film Piranha and the trailer for Think Like A Man. In a May interview with HitQuarters, Lucas Secon, the producer-songwriter was able to confirm that he and Rivers Cuomo had just worked on one song. Pollstar declared him the top-grossing North America dance artist from performances in 2012. He has worked with artists like Afrojack and Linkin Park, Afrojack. Linkin Park, Will.i.am. Lil Jon. Blink-182, Laidback Luke. BTS. Louis Tomlinson. Rise Against. Vini Vii & Fall Out Boy. He is well-known for his remixes of artists like Kid Cudi.
