Rachel Anne McAdams
Rachel Anne McAdams was born on November
17, 1978 in London, Ontario, Canada she was the daughter of Sandra Kay (Gale),
nurse, and Lance Frederick McAdams, an auto driver and furniture moving
company. She is English--, Welsh- -, Irishas well as Scottish. Rachel began
acting when she was when she was a teenager. By the age 13 she was
participating in Shakespearean productions at the summer camp for theater.
After graduation, Rachel received a BFA degree from York University in Theater.
After her first appearance on TV on Disney's The Famous Jett Jackson in 1998,
she starred on Canadian television's Slings and Arrows 2003. The comedy drama
follows the struggle of Shakespearean theater groups. The actress was awarded
an Gemini Award for her performance in 2003. Her first big role was in Mean
Girls (2004) as Regina George instantly landed her on the list of Hollywood's
most sought-after of promising young actors. In the following film, she starred
opposite Ryan Gosling as the romantic drama adaptation of Nicholas Sparks'
bestseller The Notebook (2004). The Notebook was a huge hit at the box office ,
and was the most popular romantic drama for the young crowd. McAdams was
introduced to Gosling during filming. They began dating until mid-2007. McAdams
and Gosling soon found themselves together and began to meet. After appearing
in The Lucky Ones, a military drama, State of Play, and The Time Traveler's
Wife (2009) McAdams also starred alongside Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. in
Guy Ritchie's blockbuster international Sherlock Holmes. McAdams played the
shrewd producer in Morning Glory (2010). McAdams also played Owen Wilson's
wife, a materialistic one in Midnight in Paris (2011). McAdams then returned to
romantic drama with The Vow (2012) with Channing Tatum. McAdams is also in the
film with Ben Affleck in Terrence Malick's To the Wonder (2012) as well as
alongside Noomi Rapace in Brian de Palma's thriller Passion (2012).In 2005,
McAdams received ShoWest's "Supporting Actress of the Year" Award as
well as the "Breakthrough Actress of the Year" at the Hollywood Film
