Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on the 12th of May, 1972. Her most famous role is that of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) and has twice been awarded the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She has also starred in the NBC series Whitney (2011-2013) and ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004), and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was executive secretary in the United States Navy, her father was an agent in Naval Investigative Service. The family resided in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and traveled extensively throughout her youth. Following in the footsteps of her grandfather and father, she studied drawing, painting and architecture at the age of a child. Though she pursued the visual arts throughout her life, she discovered an interest in acting. In college, she was introduced to the world of contemporary theatre. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a BA in Studio Art. Seehorn, who was a student and was looking to enter theatre after being inspired by her acting professor. To make her stand out, she worked in the ancillary positions in D.C.'s theater industry. The result was some significant performances in local theater but had to take odd jobs to pay the bills as she landed roles in a variety of short industrial instructional films. Then, she began to find roles in television productions. She was often seen in roles that were "very wry and sarcastic" as her idol Bea Arthur. Many of these roles ended up being ended after one or two seasons. Seehorn was cast as Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler, a lawyer as well as the love interest of the main Jimmy McGill/Saul G. Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
