Emma Stone

Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was born on November 6, 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), an experienced homemaker and Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone, a contracting company founder and CEO. She is of Swedish and British Isles roots. Stone started acting as a child at Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. There she staged her first performance in "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame. In her teens, Stone was in a variety of other shows until she decided to make acting her career. Officially, she designed a PowerPoint presentation, which was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood", to convince her parents to allow her to go to school and relocate to Los Angeles. She and her mother made the pitch and relocated to LA. Her education was done at home, and she would spend the rest of her time auditioning. She had her TV breakthrough when she was awarded the part of Laurie Partridge in the VH1 show, a reality and talent show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004) which led to a number of smaller TV roles in the following years. After a string of success in the role, her appearance as Olive in Easy A (2010) was her movie debut. In Phoenix, Arizona, she went to Xavier College Preparatory. Although she's known as redhead, her actual hair color is blonde. Judd Apatow was the one who suggested she change her hair's color to match Superbad (2007). It was so well-received , she decided to keep. She persuaded her parents to allow her to move to Hollywood at the age of fifteen by creating an PowerPoint presentation that was appropriately titled Project Hollywood. She started her journey into acting at 11 years of age in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she played in over 16 performances on stage as well as performing in the theatre's comedy improv troupe. Caylee Cowan was also an actor at the Valley Youth Theatre.
