Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix demonstrated a talent for sports early, and discovered her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first attempt she made her skills, she placed second for 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to an official career at Adidas in 2003, and then enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. The following year, Felix earned her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record running 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently within the top three in her various competitions in the Olympics that took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
