Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Sparrow was born in McComb (Mississippi) on December 2, 1981 and was raised in Kentwood (Louisiana). Britney attended dance classes when she was a child and was a superb gymnast, winning many contests. Britney enjoys singing and dance, but more important, she was a fan of dance classes. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at age eight. She was denied due to her young age. Her next audition was for "Ruthless" which was an off-Broadway production, where she starred as the main persona for two years. She attempted to reprise her role in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) in which time, she played an actual mouseketeer. In the late 90s Britney was signed by Jive Recording Artist. Britney was an enormous success after her first album, "Baby one more time." "...Baby another time" in 1999. She sold over 13 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I did it Again" which was released in May 2000. Britney was born to Lynne Spears (and Jamie Spears) and has a huge sister named Jamie Lynn Spears. From a young age, Britney was always fixing to become a famous singer with her idols, including Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney was constantly singing, no matter the other events going on in the world around her. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on the television at the age of 8. But she was not a suitable age for the part. Instead, Britney, her mother and baby sister relocated to New York where she starred in numerous TV adverts and the off-Broadway show, "Ruthless", where she worked as an understudy to Natalie Portman. She discovered her love for music and dance two years later when she was auditioning again for "Mickey Mouse", winning the part along with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
